Environment Audit, Environmental Impact Assessment

Environment audit can be for the whole plant or a specific area. The study usually covers spillage, emission, leakages scenarios in order to provide sound recommendation. The consequences of such emissions etc. resulting in fire etc. are also modelled mathematically to study the impact on the environment. A comprehensive Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) is a strong tool that assists in taking business and social decisions. It is also an inherent part of planning. As per the guidelines of MOEF, "EIA observes and evaluates potential environmental concerns at an early stage of project planning and design.EIA/EMP. It also assists planners in the decision making process by identifying the key impacts/issues and formulating mitigation measures. EIA evaluates compliance of regulatory requirements, baseline studies, identification of key issues and consideration of alternatives, impact analysis and remedial measures in a systematic way.
